Britain's Killer No.1

Wednesday night, nothing to do ergo spending time in front of the television including some nice 'Tyrell's Handmade Salt&Vinegar Crisps' (melting-in-the-mouth...) and a glass of white wine.
Homer gives it a go on the stage joining me with a tin of Puff beer and Scrub's Elliott is entering our junk food club with a plate of French fries. Oh dear, what a nice wednesday evening.
Until Becca Wilcox from BBC three takes the lead in "Mischief:Why are we so fat? Is it really all our own stupid fault? Becca Wilcox sets out to find the real culprits behind Britain's obesity epidemic, the secret feeders who make fat profits from ever-expanding waistlines."
Astonishing.
Breath taking.
Amazing.
No, that is not really what I thought at first. Not another diet show; not another "eat-healthy-five-a-day-exercise-three-times-per-week"-broadcast. (Stop: I don't want to say that being on a healthy diet isn't important. All these "healthy" programmes are just getting on my nerves)
But after a few minutes, it started to be really interesting indeed.
It showed the way big food companies or britain's sugar lobby try to make us eat unhealthy junk food and revealed how unhealthy low-fat products actually are (low-fat but HIGH sugar).
Suddenly, my host mum Cath joined me on the sofa and started to defend herself whilst being shown some of the "so healthy" stuff she buys (e.g. Coco pops on the screen, Cath: "Oh look, i don't buy the Coco Pops bars, just the cereals"...oh yeah, does make a BIG difference^^; "I don't buy much red meat"...oh no, despite the fact that the freezer is full of a whole lamb, several kilos of beef and no single chicken breast; "I don't buy too much naughty stuff, just a few crisps and some ice cream which should be eaten with fruit"...exactly SHOULD be eaten with fruit but in fact ISN'T...and those ''few crisps" are 3-4 bags per shopping).
Well, enough gossiping for today, i don't want to be too rude.
Life can be so ironic.
It's really sad that people stick to their opinion no matter what although they got proved wrong, and they know it (which makes it even worse)
